Remember having to buy rotosound extra-long strings coz when I changed the strings for the very first time, I slapped on long scale strings and the threads on the E-string hung over the nut. I have a Magnum III, it is the most stable and rigid neck I have ever come across. Output is pretty low, but that neck pickup is so sweet.
